Tower21 Studios will no longer be offering web design or web application development services starting Q1 of next year. Our firm is simply too small to compete in the growing global market that already surrounds those two services. Instead we will be focusing our business on B2B branding services, web hosting, and (more importantly) web publishing.
For months I have been splitting my time between working on Zion and working on MomoKO, but, of late, have not been too successful managing both. Not to mention the fact that I have not started with the WebComiX software that Tower21 needs in order to publish Zion. As such, I am announcing an indefinite hold on the project!
I am the CEM and founder of Tower21 Studios Limited and the author for our first WebComiX, Zion. For some months I have been splitting my time between working here at Tower21, working on my comic, and working a part-time job. This has become too much for me so I have decided it best to work full-time on my comic while still helping Tower21 open new revenue streams.
You may have noticed our new home page with a poster for Zion: Genesis, the first episode in a three episode set of comics. You can read more about Zion on our home page, so we won’t bore you with all of those details. Instead I’d like to inform you that we have begun the first production phase of the first issue.
Our goals have been large and lofty since we started our journey. Tower21 Studios began as a design firm helping others build their identities by providing logos, web sites, and more. This has been one goal of ours, but as you may be aware, this was not our only goal.
In an effort to better serve the needs, including financial needs, of our clients and potential clients, We have made further changes to our Schedule of Rates and Fees. We have decided to cut prices on many key services. We have done so in an effort to be more competitive. I would like to stress that the change in pricing is not a reflection of a change in the quality of service we provide. It is merely a measure to help make our services more affordable.
Our new layout is now up! Since we last updated our preview we have added a showcase area to our template. The showcase area allows us to put relevant examples of our work on each page, and, for the contact page, allows us to put category examples next to the form.
A quick look at our analytics shows that a lot of users are bouncing out of our site. While we can’t be sure why this is occurring, we guess it is either a) because or site’s design isn’t considered a modern design, or b) users are having problems navigating the site and simply give up. For a web-design firm neither of these are excusable. So, we are releasing a new layout for this site that should look better and make navigation easier and more discoverable.
At Tower21 we believe that one of our best advertising resources is our current clients. Our clients enjoy the experience of working with high-energy, dedicated, professional artists. So, clients, get talking! We often ask you how you enjoy our services. In fact newer clients have had the opportunity to fill out our satisfaction survey. That’s great! We love hearing from you, but we’d also love for your friends, and colleagues to hear from you to. To that end we are introducing our Referral Discount Program. Where you and your friends can earn discounts on services from us.
We are very excited to announce that Friday, 5 Jun 2015 we will be releasing [MomoKO] 2.0’s first release candidate in preparation for the launch of 2.0 12 Jun 2015! 2.0 introduces you to a slimmer, and even easier to use, MomoKO. It has taken nearly a year and many portions of MomoKO have been completely rewritten!
It as come to our attention that Paypal, will be updating it’s [user policy] effective 1 Jul 2015. We had acquired a Paypal account after buying SaxtonSolutions LLC which we have been using to process payments for clients who wish to pay by credit or debit card. Unfortunately the new policies (see [section 15] paragraph 5) are in direct opposition with Tower21 Studios Limited’s mission as well as the future aspirations of our company.
Last week we started work for a new client [Custom Disposal LLC], a roll-off truck and disposal service based out of Eaton, CO. I have spent the last week working with the owner to develop a new WordPress theme for him and have finally finished that portion of the project. I will now begin setting up a WordPress site for him.
For those of you who are not aware, I came from a company called SaxtonSolutions. SaxtonSolutions officially closed its doors on the second of this month. Tower21 is in the process of assimilating our assets, but today we closed down the SaxtonSolutions server and website.
In most of the world, the first of April is a day for jokes and pranks. Even big businesses are getting in on the fun. deviantART, an art-focused social network, has been releasing bogus news articles or doing some pretty weird things with their site every year since as long as I’ve followed them, but this year many other sites and companies have also joined in the mix. T-Mobile is apparently extending family plans to pets and Burger King has released a limited edition whopper perfume.
While Tower21 Studios Limited focuses mostly on design and film editing to help business and individuals build their brand, our main goal is to help dreamers market themselves. As part of that goal I am announcing a part of our website devoted to helping dreamers network together and publish their works. I am calling this project the Creative Corner.
For those of you who have been following me since my days at SaxtonSolutions, you know we had a little pet project, or I should say, I had a little pet project there. She is a simple, easy-to-use, easy-to-expand Content Management System known as MomoKO. MomoKO 1.5 was released months ago and we are nearing the release of MomoKO 1.6, but what I want to talk about is MomoKO 2.0.
This simple blog will be a place where I can give you news and updates for Tower21 Studios Limited. This will be seperate from our main news section on the [website] as that will focus mostly on major news for our studios while this blog will have larger focus.
